Welcome to the Color Tab App website. The current version of Color Tab contains instructions and a compose view area for a classical six string guitar as well as a compose view area for a four string bass guitar. Future versions will contain additional instrument selections. I developed this app for educational purposes and it is intended for instructors, students, and musicians. As a guitarist, I wanted to have a way to compose music for the guitar by using tab, but needed a way to include duration for notes. My method uses colors to determine what duration to play as well as the location of the note and on what string to play it. It is my hope with the inclusion of the color coded duration, that more individuals will learn and be able to play the guitar by using this method.
